Hindu priests perform a ceremony around 9am at Budhanilkantha Narayan (Sleeping Vishnu), 15km north from Thamel in Kathmandu. The 5m long great stone figure of the Hindu god Vishnu reclines on the coils of the cosmic serpent Ananta, lying in a 13m long tank.
